MALPANI GROUP
A Spatial Manifesto of Agility
Transforming philosophy into architecturewhere design, engineering, and storytelling create a defining identity for Malpani Group’s first commercial landmark.
The project translated the philosophy of agility into a permanent architectural signature for a landmark commercial space envisioned by DSP Design Associates for Malpani Group’s first real estate venture. The installation required a seamless, floating multi-layer composition that integrated with premium stone surfaces without drilling or damage, while ensuring structural stability and long-term durability in a high-traffic environment. This was achieved through an art-driven engineering approach using aerospace-grade aluminium, non-invasive adhesive bonding, precision fabrication, premium automotive-grade finishes, and the integration of aluminium, teak wood, and stainless steel to create a unified and enduring spatial narrative.
RESEARCH
Welcome to an Agile World is a large-scale artwork composed of more than 110 wood and metal elements, expressing agility through the convergence of nature, humanity, and technology. Drawing from female, male, and animal energies, the composition uses symbols such as the banyan tree, eagle, antelope, leopard, honeycomb, and honeybees to represent ideas, action, intelligence, coordination, and growth, while references to robots, binary codes, satellites, and artifcial intelligence refect technological advancement. Seamlessly connected without visible support, the installation creates a unifed narrative where inspiration, implementation, incubation, and immortality come together, portraying agility as a harmonious interplay of nature, science, technology, and human life. Installed on 16 August 2021, the artwork embodies fve defning themes: Idea, Inspiration, Implementation, Incubation, and Immortality.
FORM EXPLORATION
Future forms emerging from the intelligence of nature.
A woman:
Tree growing on her
head shows Birth and
growth.
An eagle delivers those
phenomenal ideas to a man,
who storages those ideas and
conveys them for implementation,
he inspires the work with a
specific goal in his mind.
His instructions
are being carried out
with agility of a
pronghorn.
Perfection needs to be
maintained and hence the
Artificial intelligence and the
robot with whole Automation jumps
like a leopard into an incubator.
The incubator has its bee hive eyes and an extended brain
where incubation is done till the right time. It is protected
and secured and then distributed. When the product
reaches market i.e. each one of the consumers.
It grows like a banyan tree whose
aerial stems get rooted in the earth and
the product or the service becomes immortal.
The entire story of Malpani Agile unfolds visually before a single word is spoken.
Execution Scale & Proven Performance
Large-format installation spanning ~80 ft panoramic length.
Engineered installation supporting ~170+ kg structural mass.
Precision assembly involving 100+ individual fabricated elements.
Zero repair or replacement incidents since installation (Aug 2021).
Because in design-led environments, even safety must belong.
